CLASSIC TWO STROKE
It occured to me that I have probably been working on Japanese two stroke engines longer than anyone else in the trade.
When I left college and started work in a motorcyle workshop it was the early 1960's and the Japanese motorcycle invasion had just started. Later I was workshop foreman at Monty & Wards race shop when the early Yamaha racers arrived. When the first Suzuki 250 twins came we tuned them and modified them into race bikes and launched the Monty & Ward Suzuki Clubman. At the same time I was mechanicing at the T.T. and the transatlantic match races.
I started my own motorcycle business in the early 1970s and made our reputation tuning two-strokes and building two-stroke engines, a business I have continued to the present day!
Nowadays a lot of our business is rebuilding classic Japanese Two-Stroke engines.

Engine Rebuilds
We specialise in engine rebuilds and have unsurpassed experience of all Japanese two-stroke engines. All parts are accurately measured, checked and meticulously assembled as you would expect from a race workshop. Below are the prices of Labour Plus Parts to carry out an engine rebuild. Obviously it is impossible to know what parts are worn or damaged until the engine is stripped for inspection. Before rebuilding an engine, we strip it and give a fully priced estimate before carrying out the work.

Information
We are only machining/assembling your parts/engine. The responsibility for setting up the bike, filling/bleeding the oils/water, using the correct fuel, plugs, jetting etc. is undertaken by the owner/mechanic, whom it must be assumed has a good mechanical knowledge.
