RG500/400
The RG500 is the most rewarding engine to tune and is definitely my favourite. We obtain a reliable 30% increase in power, still using the standard carbs, air box and ignition.
You will have noticed in nearly every road test of any RG500 Special that the engine will have been SS Tuned. It is no exaggeration that if after riding an SS tuned RG you ride a standard bike, you will think the standard one is on three cylinders!
Some customers want a mild tune while others want the most from their machines. To cater for everyone we offer three stages of tuning. Each stage can be added at a later date to bring it up to a higher stage and is done at a reduced price. We have carried out extensive developement and Dyno-testing to ensure there is no loss of reliability at any stage.
Our work includes modifying the barrels, flowing the ports, altering the port angles, timings and port areas, machining the cylinder heads, and modifying the disc valves.

The above prices are if you send in the parts i.e. Barrels Stage 1, Barrels & Heads for Stage 2, Barrels, Heads and disc valves for Stage 3. If you send in the complete engine there will be an additional labour charge to strip and rebuild the top end.

Big Bore Kits

Engine/Gear Box Rebuilds
We have specialised in rebuilding the RG engines and gear boxes for the last fifteen years and have an unbeatable knowledge of them.
We keep all RG500 engine parts in stock. When rebuilding an engine we strip it and give a fully priced estimate before proceeding.

Crank overhaul
To overhaul an RG400 / 500 crank, replacing all main bearings, crank seals, big ends and con rods and rebuild on specialist Jig using all genuine Suzuki parts. £286
The RG has the crank pins integral with the flywheels if they are damaged they are extra cost.
